Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne toured the Niagara Catholic District School Board’s Niagara Launch Centre located at Seaway Mall, Thursday.

The stop in Welland was one of four visits within Niagara Thursday. Wynne also spoke at the 60th Annual Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Onatrio in Niagara Falls.

The premier visited the Fleming Centre in Beamsville, where she made an announcement Ontario is providing up to $6.9 million in funding over five years to repair and retrofit social housing apartment buildings in Niagara. The upgrades will ensure the buildings will be more comfortable and healthier places for people to live.

Wynne also visited George II Farms Ltd. to meet with Grape Growers of Ontario in Beamsville Thursday afternoon.
