Stolen plates recovered at R.I.D.E. check
It didn't take long for the Niagara Regional Police's R.I.D.E. check to nab a culprit Saturday.
The very first car stopped during checks in Fort Erie and Niagara Falls led to the arrest of a driver with stolen plates attached to their vehicle. He was later released at the scene.
A further 250 checks led to only one driver being requested for a breath sample for suspected alcohol. As a result, the driver recived a three-day licence suspension.
Through the rest of the night, officers issued half a dozen tickets for various driving offences.
